IMPRESSIONS

Fabric care is traditionally one of the hardest product categories to make exciting on social media. Yet, from April to June 2025, the Comfort Sachet After-Wash campaign executed by Influencer Africa demonstrated how the right creator strategy can turn an ordinary household chore into high-performing, culturally relevant content.

Client & Challenge

Comfort needed to make its Sachet After-Wash proposition relevant within social culture without relying on conventional, product-heavy commercials. The challenge was to move fabric care beyond functional advertising and integrate the product naturally into everyday social conversations.

Audience Insight

Consumers engage with messaging differently depending on who delivers it. A family creator grounds a product in relatable domestic routines, a lifestyle creator frames it through personal habits, and an entertainment creator makes it memorable through humour. The campaign recognised that rather than forcing a uniform message, tailoring the narrative to distinct creator niches would resonate far more deeply with diverse audience segments.

Strategy & Creative Idea

Influencer Africa designed a multi-niche creator strategy that allowed eight selected influencers across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube to communicate the Comfort message in their own authentic voices. For example, the Abima Family produced wash-day content across TikTok and Instagram, connecting the product directly to family laundry routines. By giving creators the creative freedom to adapt the message to their native formats, the campaign transformed a routine product into a familiar lifestyle staple.

Channels & Execution

The campaign combined video storytelling with platform-specific content strategies.

Platforms: TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube

Content Niche Diversification: Family wash-day routines, lifestyle habit integration, and creator-led storytelling

Platform Shifts: The execution highlighted changing user behaviours, capturing a significant shift toward TikTok, where video engagement proved exceptionally high compared to traditional feed platforms.

Markets Covered

The multi-platform social campaign targeted regional digital audiences across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube ecosystems.

Measurable Outcomes

Overall Performance: 5.6 million impressions, 4.8 million reach, and 534,000 engagements across eight creators.

TikTok Outperformance: Smashed campaign benchmarks, achieving 4.4 million reach against a 2 million target, 4.3 million video views against a 2 million target, and 449,000 likes against a 100,000 target.

Optimization Insights: Performance tracking identified TikTok as the primary engagement driver, yielding strategic recommendations to retain top-performing creators for future phases while introducing emerging student creators to further diversify reach. The campaign has been running on retainer from April 2025 till date, and evolved into campus and market tours and home seeding, bringing the online content even closer to the audience.
